The Diamond Duo, are a pair of extraordinary performers

Performers hailing from the state of Minnesota, USA. From the very start, their lives were steeped in the spotlight, as Calin and Arwen, siblings by blood, and partners in artistry, blossomed on stages spanning the globe. With youthful enthusiasm and an undeniable talent, this brother-sister team, ages 21 and 18 respectively, have swiftly emerged as a formidable force both individually and a quintuple threat, seamlessly blending five exceptional talents within their accomplished performances.   

From a young age, Calin and Arwen have been immersed in the world of performance, their journey beginning before they even took their first steps. While renowned for their expertise in acting, circus arts, and magic, they are also both accomplished dancers and singers. This dynamic duo’s artistic dexterity spans a range of disciplines, showcasing their remarkable talents on screen and stage. 

In 2010, the Diamond siblings made a transformative move to Australia, a decision that propelled them into the spotlight as the world’s youngest professional busking duo. This dynamic pair innovated their street performance into a captivating 40-minute theatrical show, which saw its grand premiere at the esteemed Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2013, a festival of international stature rivaled only by Edinburgh’s renowned event. This move marked a turning point in their careers, laying the foundation for their remarkable rise to fame and solidifying their status as exceptional performers.

Rising to global acclaim, the Diamonds Duo enchanted audiences worldwide, performing across continents including America, Malaysia, Spain, Portugal, and Germany. Their magnetic presence not only graced traditional stages but also illuminated screens in Australia. In 2012, they delved into diverse circus disciplines like acrobatics, contortion, juggling, and aerial arts, while mastering the intricacies of musical theater, singing, dancing, and acting for both stage and screen. A highlight was their mesmerizing show at Malaysia’s Genting Highlands World Resorts in 2013, solidifying their fame and drawing the attention of luminaries like Luis De Matos, the Master Magician from “The Illusionists”, affirming their position as performing arts virtuosos.

In 2015, Calin achieved a significant milestone with his theatrical debut in “Mortido,” sharing the stage with Australian legend Colin Friels. The Diamonds’ collaborative spirit extended to co-producing and performing alongside Dreamstate Circus, resulting in the captivating production “Diamonds Found in Dreams,” which embarked on a national tour in 2017.  

Calin and Arwen established themselves as original performers on nationwide tours through their close association with the Australian Youth Performing Arts Company, headquartered in Sydney. This dynamic organization, which prioritizes promoting performing arts and fostering creativity in children’s development, became an integral part of their artistic journey, showcasing their commitment to nurturing young talents and advocating for the significance of performing arts in education. 

In 2019, Calin and Arwen’s exceptional fusion of adagio dance and acrobatics earned them first-place victories in two National Dance competitions, an achievement crowned with a prestigious black diamond award. Their journey then led them to a nationwide spotlight as they showcased their mesmerizing acrobatic routine on “Australia’s Got Talent,” receiving unanimous applause and four YES’s from the judging panel for their awe-inspiring performance. 

Presently based in Adelaide, the Diamond Duo continues to illuminate the stage, seamlessly weaving their talents into the fabric of Australia’s top-tier performance companies, such as the Australian Company of Performing Arts and Showmen Productions’ “Circus The Show.” With a remarkable track record of over 5,000 performances across global stages, this dynamic duo’s captivating artistry has resonated with audiences of diverse backgrounds and ages. Their journey stands as a testament to their unparalleled dedication, punctuated by an array of accomplishments, including accolades from television appearances, international recognition for their live performance shows, and even the newly released feature film “Talk To Me” and Emmy Award-winning TV show “First Day”, forming a constellation of shining highlights throughout their illustrious career.
